音樂治療師乃註冊的專業人仕，持有海外認可的音樂治療學士學位或更高的學歷。除了擁有所需學位外，音樂治療師亦需要完成所屬音樂治療協會規定的臨床實習之要求，再經過認證程序才能成為註冊音樂治療師。
我們的創辦人 - 何顯斌先生及梁曉盈小姐均為美國及加拿大註冊的音樂治療師。除了擁有音樂治療學位外，他們亦完成了美國音樂治療協會所規定的1200小時臨床實習之要求，並通過美國音樂治療師認證委員會所舉辦的考試成為註冊音樂治療師。他們皆為美國音樂治療協會、美國音樂治療師認證委員會及加拿大音樂治療師協會之會員，需嚴格遵守以上協會及認證委員會定下的執業標準，專業實務範圍及專業操守指引，亦每年通過香港警務處的性罪行定罪紀錄查核。除此之外，以確保治療服務的質素，他們需要達到協會的持續進修標準，並每五年更新專業資格。
香港創意藝術治療中心的其他註冊音樂治療師除擁有音樂治療學位外，均完成所屬音樂治療協會規定的臨床實習時數之要求。他們需要嚴格遵守所屬協會定下的執業標準及專業行為守則，而且需達到所屬協會的持續進修標準及定期更新專業資格。本中心的註冊音樂治療師每年均通過香港警務處的性罪行定罪紀錄查核。
A music therapist is a credentialed professional who has completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music therapy.
The founders of ICAT (HK), Pan and Angel, have also completed the 1200 clinical hours (pre-internship and internship) mandated by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and passed the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) examination to become board certified (MT-BC).
They both are members of the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT), American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT), and are obligated to abide the standard of practice and code of ethics set by the aforementioned associations. They participate in continue education and to re-certify every 5 years in order to stay current with the best practice. They also renew their sexual conviction record check (SCRC) annually with the Hong Kong Police Force.
All other music therapists at ICAT (HK) are credentialed through overseas legal organizations (UK/Australia/US/Canada) and completed the required practical hours to be credentialed. They are obligated to abide the standard of practice and code of ethics set by the organization (s) they credentialed through. They are also required to complete their re-credential process accordingly, and renew their SCRC with the Hong Kong Police Force annually.
